Who is in your community? Who is there to lift you up and encourage you when you’re down? Who is there to call you out when the road you’re walking is taking you in the wrong direction? Who is there to point you time and time again back to Jesus and His loving arms? The people we surround ourselves with are so important to how we navigate our day to day lives. So, who is in your community?
Hebrews 10: 25 says “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Building a community that is focused on Jesus is one of our primary goals here at Seekers Student Ministry. I want to encourage everyone to invest time and energy into being a part of a faith community. Come out and join us, build relationships and be encouraged by the work that Jesus is doing in and among us!
Sign up is out for the fall Jr. High LinkT Retreat! We’ll head up to Camp Trinity on Petit Jean Mountain on the evening of October 18th and return Sunday, October 20th. The retreat is open to anyone in 6th–8th grade, friends included. The theme for this year’s retreat is “Journey”, and we’ll be taking a look at how our faith helps us answer some of life’s biggest questions. Cost is $105 with a $40 deposit due by September 15, however financial assistance is available upon request!
Join us for a night of fun, worship, games and biblical teaching every Wednesday night. The Lookout is a place for teens to gather and spend time with friends and in the Word! Coming up in September we will be starting a series on Bold Faith. Bring your friends and come join us from 6:55-8:10pm
On Sunday afternoons we gather to dive deeper into God’s Word. Our current study is taking us through the book of John. Join us as we hang out, learn, pray, and grow together! We meet from 12:45-2:15pm at the church.
We will be heading to Verizon Arena on Thursday, November 7 for what promises to be a great night of worship and music! Tickets will cost around $30 per person. If you would like to go, please contact Paul Easterday.
