Show me your way, O Lord; Teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me. For you are the God of my salvation; on you I will wait all dayPs 25: 4-5
Wait on the lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say on the Lord!Ps 27: 14
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord.Ps 34
Are you tired of “the waiting room?” Have you become weary and impatient in the waiting? Let’s consider things that are “birthed” in the waiting? A baby, a beautiful butterfly, a flower from seeding healing from sickness, a new career? Many things are “birthed” in dark lonely places of waiting. What is God doing as you wait for His answers to your prayers? What are you doing as you wait for His answers? Ask, seek, and knock, and the door will be opened unto you. Did you know that prayer is the door that unlocks the kingdom of heaven so that thy kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven?
We praise you and thank you for your Word and your faithfulness even we are impatient and unfaithful.
Teach us your ways O Lord teach us your paths and lead us in your truth. Help us Lord to be joyful and not downcast in the waiting.
Dear Lord show us and help us to trust that you are “birthing” something wonderful in the waiting room you have us. Thank you for the history you have given us in the Bible of people like Mary, Jonah, and Esther, who waited for you and lonliness become so unbearable, remind us the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and our Counselor. Restore our courage to wait, and “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Lord I pray that we recognize the arrows of the enemy that seek to steal, kill, and destroy us and the plans you have for us and our loved ones. We pray that you would (Ps 37: 9) “cut off” evildoers that seek to confuse your plans; and strengthen us with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. And thank you for the shield of faith that will quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. To you be the glory forever and ever. AMEN
