Search me, O God and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.Psalm 139: 24
The peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Phil. 4: 7
Did you know that sin, even that which nobody knows but you and God, separates you from God? I am not talking about salvation but sanctification; hearing Him clearly and understanding His word. Do you want that peace that transcends all understanding? Is your repentance of sin a true desire to change and turn away from the sin which so easily entangles? ” The grace of God is the honey that helps the bitter taste of confession and repentance go down without chocking”(Lysa Terkeurst) In these extreme times, I find myself unusually critical of of certain things that seem unjust. I can so quickly become angry and judgmental forgetting that we are all created in the image of God. As in last weeks pray room, our focus needs to be on heaven not on the daily circumstances that rob our joy and peace.
Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.(Ps 139: 23-24) By your Holy Spirit in me, help me to be quick to confess and turn away from sin and the bad habits that draw me away from your presence. Dear Lord help me to see others with the love of Jesus and compassion to respond in a way that points them to you. Lord we do not see all that you are accomplishing during this “pandemic” but we know and trust you are walking with us. Today, we lift all of those who are making decisions for schools and our children. Give them a wisdom that truly seeks to do what is right and your will. Dear Lord remove the blinders from those who are not seeing clearly and turn their gaze to you. We praise and thank you Dear Lord for hearing our prayers and forgiving us for sins. We thank you that even in our sin, you love us. Thank you for the grace you offer and the peace that transcends all understanding that will guard our hearts and our minds. We await with the body of Christ, to hear from you throughout our days on earth, until we take our last breath on earth and our first breath in heaven. In Jesus’ name, AMEN
