You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord , the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal. Is.Isiah 26: 3-4
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.Psalms 28: 7
What does perfect peace and complete trust look like to you? In this time when so much daily conflicting information is thrown at us, it is quite hard to discern what and who to believe. But we do not have to let our hearts be tossed about with every thought and suggestion of what might happen or who we can trust and believe. We can run to and trust in the One who never changes; the only one who is completely trustworthy. Look back at your history with Him. Has He ever broken a promise, lied to you or held a grudge against you because you sinned? Isn’t He the One who you want to lean into and to put complete trust in? Isn’t He the One you want to run to when your heart is broken and disappointed? Did you know that prayer unlocks the doors of heaven so that God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven?
We praise and thank you for your amazing Word that is true and teaches us of your faithfulness throughout history. You are the same yesterday, today and always. We pray today that our minds are steadfast in our trust in you. Lord help us to guard our minds and those in our home, from the lies of the enemy and the words and images that can draw us away from our focus on you. Dear Lord help us not to be carried about with various and strange doctrines (Heb 13:8) but instead trust you as our strength and our shield(Ps 28:7) Help us Lord to desire that perfect peace so that those who we see will desire to know where this peace comes from and we can share your love and faithfulness with them. Dear Lord, we do not know how to figure out our present circumstance, but today we will choose to surrender and trust in you. Help us by your Holy Spirit, to remain quiet
and wait on your voice; that still quiet voice. Help us Lord to continue to pray, listen and obey; and then to give thanks for all you have done.
In Jesus’ Name,
