Peace and Forgiveness

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Colossians 3: 15

One thing I have to constantly be mindful of, is that the enemy wants to steal my peace. One of the ways he tries to do this  is urgency; if something demands to be said or done NOW. Another thing that steals my peace is when I consider all of the unknowns..what will happen if…?   Fear is another thing that can seriously steal my peace and joy. When I allow the peace of Christ to rule (direct, control)in my heart, I don’t have to surrender to the fear and  pressures of the moment. I can wait confidently on the Lord and trust HIM for the answers and outcome. Has the Prince of Peace taken up residence in your soul? Is His peace your daily giude? Did you know that prayer is the key that unlocks the doors of heaven so that thy kingdom may come on earth a it is in heaven.

LET’S PRAY

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for your mercy and grace that flows so freely into our lives. Even in the midst of our anxiety and sadness we can have peace because of your love and forgiveness. Forgive us when we allow others to trigger our anger and steal our peace. Forgive us when we see what seems to be a world spinning out of control and become fearful; forgetting who holds the world in HIS hands.  Prince of Peace, come rule in our hearts today. Teach us how we can cultivate peace in our lives. Dear Lord in a world where so many are desperate for your peace, teach us to model peace;  sharing the peace that can only come from from you with others.  And finally dear Lord, thank you for being the King of kings and Lord of lords and PRINCE of PEACE.
In Jesus’ name, AMEN
