What does it mean to live a grace-filled life? In a world which can at time seem unrelenting and unmerciful to those who don’t measure up or don’t fit in, we sometimes struggle with grace. In situations where we have been wronged by others it can be difficult to continue to give away what is not deserved. Then again, in those times when we have been the one to do the hurting we can struggle to accept the grace of others, feeling instead that we must somehow “make it up” to the person in order to placate our guilty conscience.
As followers of Jesus we know that forgiveness and new life are ours through the cross — an undeserved gift freely given to us. What does it mean to live in that grace on a day to day basis? It means to accept that there is no way we can repay the debt we own, and yet it is ours because of God’s immeasurable love for us. It means to, like Zacchaeus, allow salvation (Jesus) to come to our house for dinner. And, like Zacchaeus, we respond in the only way that makes sense; to give away what we have to everyone!
Join us for a night of fun, worship, games, and biblical teaching every Wednesday night. The Lookout is a place for teens to gather and spend time with friends and in the Word! On October 30th we will be having a special outdoor movie night at The Lookout. We’ll make the popcorn and light the bonfire, you bring your friends and a chair or blanket. We’ll start the movie at 6:30pm.
On Sunday afternoons we gather to dive deeper into God’s Word. Our current study is taking us through the book of John. Join us as we hang out, learn, pray, and grow together! We meet from 12:45-2:15pm at the church. On Sunday, October 13 we will have a special life lesson on how to cook grill edition!
